Members of the Michigan State
Association of Parliamentarians must also belong
to the National Association of Parliamentarians
(NAP)
MEMBERSHIP
Regular Member:
To become a regular member, a
person shall:
 |
Obtain
a membership application from NAP headquarters, MSAP officers
or Unit officers; |
 |
Fill out the
application completely and send it
along with required fees to NAP
headquarters; |
 |
Submit the membership dues to NAP headquarters in the amount
of $62
+ $25 State dues ($31 + $10 State dues, if a full-time student);

 |
Pass the membership
exam with a grade of 70 percent. |
Registered
Parliamentarian:
To become a Registered
Parliamentarian (RP), a person shall:

Be a regular member; |
 |
Pass
the registered exam with a grade of at least 80% on the research
section and 85% on the other four sections of the exam. |
Professional
Registered Parliamentarian:
To become a Professional
Registered Parliamentarian (PRP), a person
shall:
 |
Be a Registered
Parliamentarian; |
 |
Successfully complete
a continuing education course. |
